The NordicTrack FreeStride Trainer FS10i is an awesome machine in their FreeStride Trainer series. The FreeStride series is unlike anything else on the market, as it combines the benefits of a treadmill, stepper, and an elliptical all into one machine. This breakthrough in cross training innovation provides variable motion while exercising and promotes “muscle confusion”—leading to a much more efficient workout.
When our team visited NordicTrack’s headquarters, we were able to view some of their FreeStride line first-hand. As we mentioned, the FreeStride series contains other models. In the FreeStride Trainer Series you can also find the FS14i model.
Auto-Adjusting Stride — A major benefit of the FS10i is the auto-adjusting stride length. The technology of the FS10i intuitively follows your movements during the workout, and auto-adjusts to you. The machine is capable of up to a 32” stride length, so it’s appropriate for users of most height ranges.
iFit Interactions — iFit is an innovative patented technology available from NordicTrack. The newest iFit feature enabled with the FreeStride Trainer FS10i is LIVE Resistance and Incline Control. Live Interactions allows you to focus on your workout, while your iFit trainer adjusts the incline and resistance of your machine for you. The only thing you focus on—is crushing your workout.

Is it necessary to subscribe to iFit or can I use ‘offline’?
Hi Sher! No it’s not necessary. You can use it in manual mode.
Can you watch Netflix or access other internet subscriptions on the iFit screen, or is it just iFit workouts that are available to watch while exercising? Or can you use ApplePlay to cast what’s on your phone onto the iFit screen?

Looking to buy an elliptical but the Nordic Track has a flywheel that is 12lbs lighter than the E95S.
Want something that will be perfect for my wife who is 5’ 3” tall and I am 6 ft tall.
Is the Nordic Track 10i that much better than the Sole E95S.
I do not like the reviews on the Sole Consoles. Too many reviews out there saying they go out within months.
Hi Neal. The E95S has a heavier flywheel and will give you a more sturdy feel during your workout, but the NordicTrack FS10i 20 lb. flywheel isn’t too lightweight that you will feel wobbly while exercising. For you and your wife’s differing heights, I would probably suggest the FS10i as it features the auto-adjusting stride lengths. I hope this helps
The price of the NordicTrack FreeStride Trainer ranges from $2,999 to $3,999 which might honestly seem a little too high, but with the kind of features and capabilities that the equipments flashes, there is no doubt that it is absolutely worth every penny. It is powered by MediaTek, therefore the performance is top-notch with great efficiency.
